What does the La Trobe eBureau offer for La Trobe academic authors?

The La Trobe eBureau provides academics with professional editing, design, copyright, peer review and online publishing services. The eBureau has a distinctive identity design that is applied to all publications.

To ensure eBureau publications are high quality, library staff coordinate manuscript editing services including structural and copy editing. In addition, expert peer reviewers are engaged based on discipline and internal and external design services are coordinate based on the requirements of each new ebook.

eBureau services also include copyright status checking relating to the use and reproduction of images, audio, video, diagrams and text. This process ensures all published third party materials in eBureau resources meet statutory requirements related to Creative Commons licences in an open access environment.

How does the eBureau promote the scholarship of La Trobe academics?

The eBureau promotes the scholarship of La Trobe academics by making sure ebooks published by the eBureau are highly visible, and discoverable. All of the published ebooks are available to La Trobe students via the La Trobe Reading Lists system or the Learning Management System, and to both students and to the wider community via either the library catalogue, the La Trobe eBureau website, or Google.
